The house is a dignified gassho style house etched with 160 years of history. It has been finished to very high standard, as can be seen in features such as the floor plan and long roof beams.
Description
The Kanda family settled here after branching off from the Wada household, establishing a brewery. It is estimated that the house was constructed in around 1850, and from the floor plan and the carpenter’s extensive handwriting on the roof frame, it can be seen that this is a refined example of gassho style architecture.
