Following the state of emergency from the Japanese government, an Emergency Message was announced by Shirakawa Village Mayor to residents and those who are planning to visit Shirakawa-go.

These measures based on the Emergency Message are taken to prevent SPREAD of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.

• Tourist facilities such as Restaurants, Cafes, Souvenir shops and Accommodations in Historical village Shirakawa-go are voluntary closed from April 18 to May 6.
• Historical village Shirakawa-go is supposed to be closed during the national holiday from May 2 to May 6.
• All bus services departing from and arriving at Shirakawa-go are supposed to be suspended from May 2 to May 6.
